[ Bler Eco-Corridor ]

Bler: A project rooted in the movement, behavior, and habitat of the bold jumping spider, translating its natural patterns into architectural form and circulation. The Bler project began with an analysis of the bold jumping spider, translating its movement, behavior, and habitat into an architectural intervention. The project combines an eco-corridor and research center in Norman, Oklahoma, creating a connection between fragmented habitats across a highway and Oliver Woods. Large hollow pillars and tethered pathways were designed to reflect the spider’s nesting spaces and web-like movement, while the research center provides a space for environmental education and species awareness. Together, the corridor and research center create an extension of the spider’s natural habitat while connecting people to the ecosystem. [ Fall 2024 ]
